Movement starts with assessment
Physiotherapy considers movement, function, symptoms, activity demands, and the person’s goals before recommendations are made.
The assessment helps determine whether rehabilitation, exercise guidance, education, or coordination with another clinician may be appropriate.
Build capacity progressively
A plan may use guided movement and exercise to support function and participation. Progress varies, so activities are reviewed and adapted rather than promising a specific symptom outcome or fixed result.
- Understand current function and activity goals
- Practise suitable movements with guidance
- Adjust the plan as capacity and needs change
